The King Of Israel And The Lord - 875 Words

â€Å"In the past, even while Saul was king, you were the one who led Israel on their military campaigns. And the Lord your God said to you, ‘You will shepherd my people Israel, and you will become their ruler† (1 Chronicles 11:2, New International Version). While Saul was in fact the first King of Israel, God had anointed David and chose him to follow Saul as king of Israel because he was a true leader. â€Å"David was a fighter, courageous and skillful in battle (Clowney 2013, p149). Ultimately, after being wounded in battle, Saul took his own life, â₠¬Å"so Saul took his own sword and fell on it† (1 Samuel 31:4). Saul on the other hand, allowed his feelings of jealousy and resentment, as well as poor judgment to pave his path. Unfortunately, there were also similarities that David and Saul shared, like allowing passion to rule their hearts as pointed out by Arnold and Beyer. â€Å"David’s inability to control his passions led to adultery with Bathsheba and later to the murder of Bathsheba’s husband, Uriah.† â€Å"Saul becameShow MoreRelatedThe Reason Why Israel Wanted A King857 Words   |  4 Pagesthe time of Samuel, the nation of Israel desired to have a king for many reasons. Periodic error checking is best for maintenance. Conclusion: From the above study, it can be concluded that the website design is one of the most crucial factor in website development.
